Fox ESS H3-8.0-E for larger three-phase residential and mixed-use systems

Fox ESS H3-8.0-E is an 8kW three-phase hybrid inverter built for sites that need more capacity than the smaller H3-6.0-E but still fit comfortably inside the standard H3 platform. It combines dual MPPT tracking, support for Fox high-voltage LFP batteries, FoxCloud monitoring and an IP65-rated wall-mounted design in a product aimed at larger homes, farm outbuildings and light-commercial installations.

Dual MPPT design and battery-ready architecture

Fox uses two independent MPPT trackers across the H3 platform, which helps the inverter cope with split or mixed-orientation arrays more effectively than a simpler one-tracker design. The official H3 datasheet also lists high-voltage LFP battery compatibility and a battery voltage range of 180–600V, making the H3-8.0-E a true hybrid unit rather than a standard solar inverter.

That matters because the system can be designed around generation and storage together. The inverter is intended to support battery-backed solar strategies rather than leaving storage as an afterthought or future workaround.

Monitoring, enclosure and installation relevance

The H3 range includes FoxCloud monitoring with Wi-Fi, LAN and optional 4G communications listed in the official datasheet. That gives the product practical remote monitoring capability and makes it easier to commission and check over time.

Fox also lists an IP65 enclosure, wall-mounted installation and a compact body of 449 × 519 × 198 mm with an approximate 28 kg weight. Those details matter on site because they keep the inverter manageable to mount and appropriate for outdoor use where the wall position and installation environment are suitable.
