The Sync Energy Wall Charger 2 EVWC2T7G is a 7.4kW, 32A single-phase charger with a permanently attached 7.5m Type 2 lead. The tethered format avoids retrieving a separate cable for routine charging, while the built-in wrap and plug holster provide a defined place to store the lead between sessions.

Plan the cable reach before installation

The fixed 7.5m lead should be checked against the vehicle’s normal parking direction and inlet position. Measure the route from the proposed wall position without stretching the cable across a pedestrian route. If the cable must be removed after use or more than one length is needed, the socketed EVWC2S7G is the more flexible Wall Charger 2 option.

App, network and managed charging

The charger works with the Sync Energy app over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or RJ45 Ethernet. Bluetooth supports commissioning, and OCPP 1.6J is listed for compatible charge-point management. This `G` model is Wi-Fi/LAN; it should not be described as a 4G unit.

The official documentation lists Auto Solar Charging, dynamic charging and one included EVA120CT1 load-management kit. Their operation depends on correct CT installation, system configuration, available generation and property demand. They are capabilities rather than promises of free charging or a fixed saving.

Integrated protection does not replace circuit design

Sync Energy specifies open-PEN earth disconnection, 30mA AC Type A RCD protection and 6mA DC protection inside the charger. A competent installer must still assess the supply, protective-device arrangement, cable size, route and commissioning settings for the property.
