For a close and repeatable parking position

The 5m Home 3 Pro suits a driveway or garage where the vehicle parks close to the charger and the inlet remains within a predictable route. Its shorter fixed lead creates less cable to coil than the 7.5m and 10m models, but that is useful only when it reaches without tension.

Park the vehicle as it is normally used and measure from the intended mounting point along the safe route the cable will follow. Include the position of doors, steps, walkways and the side of the vehicle inlet. If the result is close to the limit, do not stretch the lead or assume the car will always park perfectly. Move to the 7.5m Home 3 Pro or 10m Home 3 Pro where the measured layout requires it.

Ultra Black is a finish choice only. Ultra White and Space Grey 5m variants use the same shared electrical platform.

Everyday tethered charging

The Type 2 lead remains attached to the unit, ready to connect without taking a separate cable from the vehicle. After charging, the lead should be wound and stored clear of the ground and pedestrian routes. The mounting position should leave enough space for cable management without obstructing a door or narrow path.

The charger provides up to 7.4kW and 32A on a suitable 230V AC single-phase installation. Vehicle capability, available supply and circuit design can reduce the delivered rate.

Smart controls and network options

The Hypervolt app provides scheduling, locking, energy information and LED settings. The charger supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE for setup, while an internal RJ45 connection gives the installer the option of wired Ethernet.

Check network coverage at the proposed location. Connected features and online updates depend on successful commissioning and a suitable connection.

Boost, Eco and Super-Eco modes provide different ways to control charging around available grid and self-generated energy. Their behaviour depends on household demand, generation, battery arrangements and correct setup. They should not be presented as a guaranteed saving.

Included CT and load management

A primary CT clamp is included. Correct installation allows Automatic Load Management to respond to property demand and supports the export measurement used by solar-aware modes.

Load management can reduce charger demand when the property approaches its configured supply limit. It does not replace assessment of the incoming supply or the installer's final circuit design.

Protection and installation responsibility

The Home 3 Pro includes internal 6mA DC residual-current detection and integrated PEN fault protection. It still requires external AC residual-current protection and external overcurrent protection selected for the completed installation.

The installer remains responsible for supply assessment, protective-device selection, cable sizing, isolation, containment, CT route, mounting and cable entries. The enclosure is rated IP66 and IK10 and measures 328mm high, 243mm wide and 101mm deep. Wall or pole mounting must preserve the enclosure protection.

Warranty and handover

The three-year manufacturer warranty is subject to current Hypervolt terms. Hypervolt's installation guidance requires registration within 48 hours. Testing, commissioning, connectivity setup and owner handover should be completed by the installer.

Common questions

Is 5m long enough for my driveway?

It is suitable only when the measured route from charger to inlet fits comfortably with the car parked normally. Measure the route rather than relying on a straight-line estimate. Choose 7.5m or 10m if 5m would be tight.

Is the CT clamp included?

Yes. The primary CT clamp is included for correctly commissioned load-management and solar-export measurement.

Does the charger need a separate Type 2 cable?

No separate vehicle lead is normally needed for a compatible Type 2 vehicle because the 5m Type 2 lead is permanently attached to this variant.

Can it be installed outdoors?

The enclosure is IP66 and IK10 rated. The installer must preserve those ratings through the selected mounting method and cable entries.

What protection remains external?

External AC residual-current protection and overcurrent protection remain necessary even though the charger includes 6mA DC detection and PEN fault protection. The installer selects the final arrangement.
