A middle-length option for flexible parking

The 7.5m Home 3 Pro is designed for layouts that need more reach than the 5m version without moving automatically to the longest cable. It can suit reverse or forward parking, an inlet on the far side of the vehicle, a charger positioned beside rather than directly next to the bay, or a household where parking position varies.

Measure the actual route before ordering. Start at the intended mounting point, follow the safe path the cable will take and finish at the vehicle inlet. The lead should reach without being pulled tight or routed across doors, steps or regular pedestrian movement. If 5m comfortably covers that route, the shorter lead creates less cable to wind. If 7.5m still does not reach, move to the 10m option rather than stretching the cable.

Compare the 5m Home 3 Pro and 10m Home 3 Pro before choosing. Ultra Black changes the finish only; the Ultra White and Space Grey 7.5m models use the same verified electrical platform.

Tethered Type 2 charging

The Type 2 lead remains attached to the charger, so routine charging does not require a separate vehicle cable. After use, the 7.5m lead must still be coiled and stored clear of the ground and pedestrian routes. Cable management should be considered when choosing the mounting position.

The Home 3 Pro supplies up to 7.4kW and 32A from a suitable 230V AC single-phase installation. The vehicle, supply capacity and completed circuit can all limit the achieved rate.

App control and connection choices

The Hypervolt app provides scheduling, locking, energy information and LED controls. The charger supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and uses Bluetooth LE during setup. An internal RJ45 connection gives the installer a wired Ethernet option where Wi-Fi at the charger position is weak or inconsistent.

Connected features require the charger to be commissioned, online and associated with the owner's account. Hypervolt's charging modes include Boost, Eco and Super-Eco, giving the household different ways to use available grid and self-generated energy. These are control tools rather than guarantees of a particular saving.

CT-based load management and solar awareness

A primary CT clamp is supplied. Correct placement and commissioning allow Automatic Load Management to respond to property demand and allow the relevant modes to identify solar export.

If household demand approaches the configured supply limit, load management can reduce the charger's demand and increase it again when capacity becomes available. Solar behaviour depends on the property's generation, other loads, battery arrangement and the completed configuration.

Installation and protection boundary

The unit includes internal 6mA DC residual-current detection and integrated PEN fault protection. External AC residual-current and overcurrent protection are still required. Their final selection, together with cable sizing, isolation, containment, CT routing and entry method, belongs to the installer's site-specific design.

The enclosure is rated IP66 and IK10 and measures 328mm high, 243mm wide and 101mm deep. It can be wall or pole mounted when the mounting and cable entries preserve the enclosure protection.

Warranty and commissioning

The three-year manufacturer warranty is subject to Hypervolt's current terms. Hypervolt's installation guidance requires registration within 48 hours of installation. The installer should complete testing, commissioning, network setup and owner handover as part of the work.

Common questions

When should I choose 7.5m rather than 5m?

Choose 7.5m when the measured route from charger to inlet is beyond comfortable 5m reach or parking direction varies. If 5m reaches without tension, the shorter lead is easier to coil. Do not guess: measure the working route first.

Is a CT clamp supplied?

Yes. A primary CT clamp is included for load-management and solar-export measurement when correctly installed and commissioned.

Can the charger use wired Ethernet?

Yes. In addition to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE setup, the Home 3 Pro has an internal RJ45 Ethernet option for an installer-planned wired connection.

What electrical protection is built in?

The unit includes 6mA DC residual-current detection and integrated PEN fault protection. External AC residual-current protection and overcurrent protection remain part of the installer's final circuit design.

Is Ultra Black electrically different from the other colours?

No verified electrical difference is attached to the colour choice. Select the cable length first, then choose Ultra Black, Ultra White or Space Grey for the preferred finish.
